5. He bought his first stock when he was 11 years old

In the spring of 1942, Buffett being just 11 years old bought the shares of Cities Service at $38 a piece, while other children of his age spent time reading comic books.

4. By the age of 16 he made $53,000

Ever since a young boy, Warren Buffett has been a hard worker. He delivered The Washington Post every morning and brought in about $175 a month (that’s more than most teachers made during that time) and also pursued a few gigs. By the age of 16, he had accumulated a personal wealth of $53,000.

3. He was rejected from Harvard Business School

Warren Buffett applied at Harvard Business School after graduating from University of Nebraska. But after his interview, his application at the school was rejected. However, he went on to study under his ideals Benjamin Graham and David Dodd at Columbia Business School.

With as great person as Warren Buffett himself, you would love to have lunch with him. Some people have reportedly paid around $3 million just to have lunch with Warren.

“Success comes at any age. Although Buffett was extremely successful before the age of 60 — his net worth was a noted $376 million when he was 52-years-old — nearly 94 percent of his wealth came after he turned 60. At 60, he was worth more than $3.8 billion.
